Oman - 8 Days Round Tour

DAY 1: Arrival in Muscat – Transfer to Hotel

Itinerary: You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon arrival you will be met by our friendly & efficient Old Nizwa Tours driver who will assist you to our vehicle to drive you to your hotel. Overnight stay at 4* Hotel in Muscat.

DAY 2: Muscat - Bimmah Sink Hole - Wadi Shab (Hiking & Swimming Sight) – Ras al Hadd – Turtle watching by night tour

Itinerary: Pick up 9.00. You will depart from Muscat to travel south towards South Al Sharqiyah Governorate. You will continue to the mountainous landscape arriving at the dramatic Bimmah Sinkhole. Once you are refreshed we will continue travelling to Wadi Shab where the water valley between cliffs. Upon arrival at Wadi Shab you will ride a small boat to be taken across the wadi to start your journey. A breathtaking not enough to say for the extraordinary place. You will walk through the amazing path, until you arrive at the wadi which leads to the Keyhole. Here you can relax; and you will have the opportunity to swim through a pool of crystal clear water and dive through a narrow keyhole, inside you will find a magnificent cave, complete with an incredible waterfall. Our next stop for lunch at a restaurant to try the local cuisine then will travel to 'Sur' the traditional city and check in hotel. You will have time to relax at the hotel. Dinner will be served at 19:30 before a drive to Ras Al Jinz to see the turtles at around 21:00. While turtle sightings are frequent, they cannot be guaranteed as this remains a natural, wild phenomenon. You will finish the tour at 23:00 and travel back to the resort for an overnight.

DAY 3: Sur – Wadi Bani Khalid (Swimming & walking sight) – Wahiba Sands (desert) – Sunset from Dunes

Itinerary: After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart on an exciting 4wd journey through the mountains. Your first stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counted among the few wadis of Oman that hold water around the year. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the date palms. Post lunch we will travel to Wahiba Sands which is famous of its golden sand. In the heart of the sands of Sharqiyah Desert nestled amongst stunning and ever changing patterns of dunes, is the Camp. The camp offers a Bedouin style air conditioned accommodation. The location of the camp in the wilderness of the desert, in the beauty of the golden sand dunes surrounding it. You will be made to feel welcome with warmth and kindness of the Omani Hospitality. After an adrenaline fueled 4WD safari across dunes and with a spectacular view of the sunset, you will be ready to experience the delicious Arabic Cuisine camp has to offer.While you sit around a camp fire under the starry sky, you will be able to watch the stars clearly and it is very incredible. DAY 4 : Bedouin House Visit – Birkat al Mauz – Jebel Akhdar Mountain -Nizwa

Itinerary: After a breakfast at the desert camp, we will depart on an exciting 4wd journey through the desert and visit the local Bedouin house and have Omani Coffee. You will enjoy their traditional ways of hospitality. Next we will depart for Jebel Akhdar ( Green Mountain). On the way, we will stop by at Birkat Al Mauz and have an opportunity to walk in the middle of palm farms at the foot of Jebel Akhdar. later we will start ascending journey to Jebel Akhdar Mountains. This majestic mountain offers a journey of discovery and adventure, where nature’s raw beauty unfolds through soaring peaks, plunging canyons, and ancient agricultural terraces carved into dramatic slopes. walk a long and step back in time along ancient water channels that wind through cliffside terraces, mudbrick villages, and green orchards. after this we will drive to Nizwa for Overnight stay. (Overnight stay in a Traditional Hotel in Nizwa).

DAY 5: Nizwa fort – Nizwa Souq – Misfat Al abreen – Al Hamra – Jebel Shams

Itinerary: After breakfast we will start our journey Nizwa the old capital city of Oman. Your first stop will be at the spectacular Nizwa Fort with its massive Circular Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman. You will also visit the old town and traditional Souq. The Souq is a lively place and an ideal location to purchase handicrafts and souvenirs. Your Next stop will be, Misfat Al Abriyeen, set in a stunning landscape above terraced of plantations. The ancient houses and ruined watchtower perched on the mountain complete the scene. You will then proceed to Al Hamra, One of the old villages in Oman with clay houses dating back up to 400 years. After enjoying lunch your experience continue to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak. The cooler temperatures will surprise as you reach the top to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”. Sleeping in high altitude will get you closer to the stars. Overnight at Jebel Shams.

Day 6: Jebel Shams – Wadi bani Awf – Nakhal Fort – Muscat

Itinerary: Pick up from hotel 8:30. We will drive towards, Wadi Bani Awf taking a stunning and exhilarating trip over the mountains.Deep in Oman’s countryside are many villages that still retain their traditional charm. On of them is Bilad Sayt, a tranquil hamlet tucked away in the mountains. Later we drive along the Nakhal Fort. This 17th Century Fort has some stunning views from the battlements. After an impressive cultural day it will be the time to drive heading to Muscat and drop you at the Hotel. Overnight stay at 4* Hotel in Muscat.

DAY 7: Muscat City Tour

Itinerary: Pick up 8:30. You will depart from hotel & you will be met by our guide for the city tour and it begins by visiting Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Next you will visit beautiful Muttrah Corniche and Muttrah Souq which retains the interest of a traditional Arab market. You will stroll through the Souq, where you will have the chance to buy Omani specialties. You will also be able to enjoy a moment along the corniche admiring the various cruise ships on the water of Sultan Qaboos Port. Then we will visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. The Museum tour will provide you with a wealth of information about the country’s structure, tradition and heritage. Then it will be time to have a photo stop at the official residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali. From the Palace, we will drive through the old town of Muscat. Overnight stay at 4* Hotel in Muscat.

DAY 8: Airport Drop and Departure

Itinerary: After amazing days you spent in Oman its time to say goodbye. Our guide will drop you at Muscat international airport for departure.
