Itinerary

  • Kuan Yin Thong Hood Cho Temple: Goddess of Mercy Temple built in 1884. Famed for its uncanny accuracy in fortune telling, this is one of the busiest temples in Singapore.
  • Sri Krishnan Temple: Temple built in 1870 which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Probably the only Hindu temple in the world where Buddhist and Taoist followers worship too.
  • National Museum of Singapore: We stop to marvel at the architecture of the facade of one of Asia's largest museums. Can you spot Queen Victoria's Coat of Arms?
  • Peranakan Museum: The only museum in the world which showcases the unique culture of the Peranakans.
  • Armenian Church Singapore: Built in 1835, it is the oldest church in Singapore. Learn about the vital contributions of the Armenian community to Singapore.
  • Central Fire Station: Oldest surviving fire station in Singapore. Don't be alarmed if a fire engine rush out of the premises with its sirens blaring as we scoot by.
  • Singapore River: We visit the spot where Sir Stamford Raffles landed in 1819 and learn about how Singapore became a British colony.
  • Victoria Theatre & Victoria Concert Hall: We just might hear the Westminster Chimes from its Clock Tower when we stop to look at the Former Town Hall Building, the Former Victoria Memorial Hall and the original bronze statue of Sir Stamford Raffles.
  • Anderson Bridge: Now a pedestrian-only bridge, it forms part of the F1 night race circuit.
  • Merlion Park: One of the most popular tourist attractions in Singapore.
  • Clifford Pier: Where the pier for Singapore's busy harbour used to be is now part of the luxurious Fullerton Bay Hotel.
  • Marina Bay: We'll take a break here as we enjoy the calming scene of the sun going down and the multi-coloured city lights come on across the Central Business District. You'll have some free and easy time to explore Marina Bay, check out the shops or perhaps grab a bite, and watch the spectacular Spectra Water & Lights Show.
  • Gardens by the Bay: We continue our journey by kick scooter to Gardens by the Bay, and catch the whimsical Garden Rhapsody Light Show at the Supergrove.
  • Civilian War Memorial: Learn about World War II and its impact on Singapore.
  • Raffles Arcade: We'll explore the world-famous Raffles Hotel, which once played host to the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Rudyard Kipling, Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jackson, etc.
  • Bugis Street: Once an infamous red light district, it's now a bustling night market.
  • Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay: Singapore's premier performing arts centre where 70% of the performances are free. We just might catch one going on as we scoot by the Outdoor Theatre.

Details

From our base in Little India, we’ll make our way to Merlion Park and Marina Bay to watch the setting sun gradually transform the bright blue sky to crimson, peach and lilac, and the city lights of the world’s third largest financial hub come on to illuminate the bay in technicolour.

Enroute, we’ll stop at various places of interest at Albert Mall, the Civic District, and the Singapore River. Some of the highlights would be seeing the world’s only Hindu temple where the Buddhists and Taoists also pray at, Singapore’s first church from 1835, where Sir Stamford Raffles first landed in 1819, etc.

Have some free time at Marina Bay to indulge in photography, watch the Spectra Light & Water Show, etc. We'll also visit Gardens by the Bay and watch the whimsical Garden Rhapsody Light Show at the Supergrove.

After the show, we continue our journey by kick scooter to Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, a WWII memorial, the world famous Raffles Hotel, and a bustling night market at Bugis Street.
