Itinerary

  • Lake Kawaguchiko: As with the other Fuji Five Lakes, the area is a popular resort, with many lakeside hotels, windsurfing facilities, camp sites, and excursion boats.
  • Oishi Park: Oishi Park ( 大石公園) is on the north shore of Kawaguchiko lake. A park with a superb view of lake and Mt. Fuji at once. Various flowers bloom on the promenade along the lakeside according to the season. Oishi Park is well known as the venue of The Kawaguchiko Herb Festival, a famous early summer event.
  • Oshino Hakkai: Oshino Hakkai, or the Eight Seas of Oshino, are a set of eight ponds located in the Fuji Five Lakes area, on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out
  • Arakurayama Sengen Park: Origin: Arakura Sengen Shrine traces its origins back to the 9th century when it was established as a place of worship dedicated to the Shinto goddess Konohanasakuya-hime. This deity, often associated with Mount Fuji and the blooming of cherry blossoms, symbolizes renewal, beauty, and the transient nature of life.
  • Chureito Pagoda: The Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔, Chūreitō) is a five storied pagoda on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji off in the distance. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963 nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings.
  • Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine: Originally built over 1000 years ago for the protection from volcanic eruptions, it has become the region's most important shrine and the head shrine of over 1300 Sengen and Asama shrines nationwide. The shrine is also a traditional starting point for climbing Mount Fuji.
  • Gotemba Premium Outlets: The Gotemba Premium Outlets is an outlet mall located in Gotemba, Shizuoka, Japan, near Mount Fuji. It was opened on July 13, 2000, and contains over 200 stores. The mall is managed by Mitsubishi Estate Simon Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Mitsubishi Estate and Simon Property Group.
  • Mt. Fuji 5th Station: The 5th Station of Mount Fuji is the entrance to the mountain and a popular starting point for climbers. It's located at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level, and is the most popular station for visitors.
