Itinerary
This walk will take along the Levada that connects Queimadas to Caldeirão Verde. Please prepare yourself with good walking shoes/boots and a warm coat (in case of low temperatures in the mountains). Also pack a pic-nic and water to take along.

A fairy tale walk that will guide you through a green paradise deep in Laurissilva Forest, until you reach a majestic waterfall. All the way the water is present, streaming down the rocks on the side of your path and into the Levadas, showing the islands capacity to gather the water from the rain and fog.
This levada has its beginning in Queimadas guesthouse. The walk will be made along the levada (water channel) until Caldeirão Verde. A walk away from civilization and into the heart of the Laurissilva forest (World’s Patrimony by UNESCO).
