I'm Natalie - originally from Australia, I've chosen to make Berlin my home because I love history!

This tour is designed for first-time visitors who want to understand Berlin, not just photograph it. Over 2.5 hours we walk through the landmarks that defined the 20th century and connect them into a single story that helps the city make sense.

If you choose to join me to discover Berlin, you should know that none of my tours are scripted. It's more of a conversation, shaped around what you're curious about.

There is so much more to Berlin than meets the eye, so let's start with the highlights, dive into the history and I guarantee you'll come away from this tour with a deeper appreciation for the city!
  • Brandenburg Gate: Most people take photos of the Brandenburg Gate and leave it at that. We explain why the Gate looks the way it does and what it represents, who is sitting on top, and why Napoleon stole the Goddess.
  • Reichstag Building: Germany's federal parliament building, but it wasn't used for nearly 70 years...
  • The Holocaust Memorial - Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe: The holocaust is a difficult and sensitive topic, we always handle it with care to give you the best understanding of what happened and why
  • Fuhrerbunker: Discover the events of the last days of WWII as Hitler retreated underground while the Soviets closed in
  • The Berlin Wall is often different in reality to how we imagine it - see it for yourselves and learn how East Germany was able to build it overnight!
  • Bundesministerium der Finanzen: Learn how to spot Nazi buildings by looking at the former Aviation Ministry building. Learn how it survived the war and what it became afterwards
  • Checkpoint Charlie: What was it like to go through a checkpoint between communism and capitalism? Why could you bring cash into East Berlin but not out?
  • Topography of Terror: Here we will be able to see a remaining part of the Berlin Wall (it's not as tall as you might expect!), and learn about how and why it was built
