Throughout the tour, you will discover the histories and stories behind the foods that you eat, as well as the restaurants and neighbourhoods that you eat them in. This tour will give you a solid understanding of what it means to ‘eat like a local’ and how Singapore’s iconic dishes became embedded into Singapore’s culture.
Foodie tastings: Kaya Toast or Curry Puff and Kopi, Bak Chang, Kuehs and Laksa in Katong. One or two distinctly Singaporean dishes from a choice of Hokkien Mee, Rojak, Popiah and Carrot Cake at Old Airport Road Hawker. Teh Tarrik, Beef Rendang or Murtabak in Kampong Glam. Dosa and Indian sweets and / or Masala Milk in Little India.

Over the course of the experience, you’ll travel through Singapore’s Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Peranakan communities while tasting dishes passed down through generations. With a maximum of 8 guests, the tour is designed to feel personal, relaxed, and immersive rather than rushed or scripted.
- Katong-Joo Chiat: Explore Singapore’s historic Peranakan district through dishes such as kaya toast, fresh kuehs, and laksa while uncovering the Chinese and Malay influences that shaped the neighborhood.
- Visit one of Singapore’s most legendary hawker centres and sample beloved local favorites such as Hokkien mee and popiah surrounded by the energy of Singapore’s hawker culture.
- Kampong Gelam: Discover the heart of Singapore’s Malay and Muslim communities through dishes such as beef rendang and freshly pulled teh tarik beneath the golden domes of Sultan Mosque.
- Little India: Finish in the vibrant streets of Little India with crispy paper dosa, Indian sweets, and other traditional specialties rich in spice and history.
